The production programme of ČZ Strojírna also includes overhaul and upgrade of machines from its own production and other manufacturers.

The overhaul consists in complete redevelopment of the machine's electrical outfit, installation of a modern controlling system (CNC in most cases), development of controlling software (PLC and NC), etc.

The overhaul also includes replacement of obsolete movement systems with modern systems - rolling joints, ball nuts, servo drives, installing protective devices and safety elements on the machines. After overhaul, the machine meets current technical and safety standards of the EU.

The upgrade of machines consists in overhaul and rebuilding of the machines (particularly of single-purpose ones) for a new production programme. The scope of the overhaul and of rebuilding depends on agreement.
